Good Fellows is a day long meet-up for guys feeling lost in their journey, unsure about where their path is taking them, or even just looking for a place to connect with like minded dudes.
A space to meet other men who are struggling with friendships, direction, or the pressures of modern life.
Outdoor, confidence-building projects nurture teamwork, purpose, and a sense of accomplishment.
Honest, judgment-free conversations with people facing similar challenges.
It’s practical, welcoming, and completely offline — no competition, no politics, no pressure — just a chance to step outside, block out the stresses of the world, and better understand yourself and what you are capable of.
Physical tasks fire up your system. When you use your hands, your brain floods with the chemicals that make you feel alive, capable, and grounded.
Trying something new forces clarity. The unknown strips away the distractions and shows you who you actually are.
Time outside can hit the reset button in a way nothing else can. Learn something new, clear your head, and see the world with sharper eyes.

Boots
Any boots are good, hiking, work, old beaters. If you don’t have boots, don’t sweat it. In winter, boots are required.
Clothes You Don’t Mind Getting Dirty
This isn’t a fashion show. Wear whatever’s comfortable and okay to scuff, rip, or get smoky or damaged around the fire.
Weather-Ready Layers
Jacket, hoodie, warm hat, gloves if it’s cold. Sun hat or light layers in summer. We operate outdoors in all seasons.
A Water Bottle
Hydration matters more than you think.
Optional: Snacks or a Thermos
If you like having a warm drink or extra fuel, bring it.
A Good Attitude
The only real “requirement.” Show up ready to unplug, explore, and connect.
Down-to-earth — a place where you can show up as you are.
Hands-on — outdoor confidence-building projects done together.
Relaxed and easygoing — low pressure, meaningful conversations.
A group of regular men — guys looking for connection, not performance.
Grounded— time outside to better understand the world we live in.
Supportive and steady — contributes in your own way, at your own pace.
Fully offline — real people, real moments, no screens.
A safe experience — structured safety, open for learning and insight.
A practical life step — a meaningful way to rebuild confidence and purpose.
Religious or faith-based — no sermons, rituals, or spiritual detours.
A classroom lecture — no presentations, slideshows, or talking heads.
A sales pitch — we’re not selling anything; nobody’s pitching a timeshare.
A cult — though, fair point… if we were, we probably wouldn’t admit it here.
Therapy — no clinical exercises or forced sharing.
Competitive — no sports, rankings, or “who’s toughest” moments.
Political — no debates, agendas, or culture-war talk.
A fitness program — no workouts or performance expectations.
Dating or sexual — no hookups, no kink, nothing perverted or creepy.
The couch will be there when you get back; though you might not look at it the same.
Investing in yourself matters — your time, your well-being, and your connection to real people and real experiences. Good Fellows is designed to be accessible to any man who wants to take that step.
The minimum expected contribution is $100 per person for the day.
This helps cover materials, food, site costs, and program support.
We use a give-what-you-can approach beyond that.
If you’re in a position to contribute a bit more, your support directly helps another man attend who otherwise couldn’t. If you can only pay the minimum — or even less — that’s okay too. We don’t want money to stand in the way for anyone who needs this.
If you’re interested but finances are tight, just reach out. We’ll make sure there’s a spot for you.
Hidden in the wilds just outside Apsley, Ontario, our Secret Training Camp sits one hour north of Peterborough—perfectly inconvenient for anyone trying to find us without directions.
